v4.x - GPS Pathfinder Office, Mapping & GIS License Manager

The Mapping and GIS License Manager software allows you to manage multiple licenses for the GPS Pathfinder Office software. Using the GPS Pathfinder Office License Administrator software, users of the GPS Pathfinder Office software can choose either a single use or a floating license. This software is available on the v4.x CD and the full system download. Alternatively you can download it separately from here.

Installation Instructions

  • Download and unzip the file into a directory on your PC. Check the option "Use folder names" when unzipping the file.

  • Run setup.exe and follow the installation wizard.


DOS Utilities

A number of standalone utility programs were previously included with GPS Pathfinder Office. These small programs are run from the DOS prompt. Some standalone utilities provide functions that are not available in the GPS Pathfinder Office software main menu. Some provide functions that are available in GPS Pathfinder Office, so the utilities are an alternative method for performing the task.

  • Fixes occasional, fatal errors when sending files associated with coordinate systems or configurations. Background files sent to TerraSync are no longer displayed as data files that can be received.

  • Distance-distance offsets that are sent to a datalogger are now computed correctly.

  • GeoExplorer 2 files created using a data dictionary created or edited in 2.90 are no longer corrupted (the file was truncated) when subsequently received in GPS Pathfinder Office.

  • Files can now be sent to TerraSync when the user's temporary file path has a dot character in it.

  • The last waypoint in a selected range is now included when sending to TerraSync or ASPEN.

  • Coordinate system files sent to ASPEN are now received into the correct folder.

  • Data files sent to Asset Surveyor 5.20 and subsequently received back are no longer corrupted (various errors were reported when the file was opened).

  • Very occasionally, files received from Asset Surveyor were corrupted during conversion and could not be opened in GPS Pathfinder Office.

The Trimble Data Transfer software transfers data from a range of devices to your PC. You can then import the data into the Trimble Geomatics Office™, Trimble Total Control™, Terramodel®, Trimble Business Center , GPS Pathfinder® Office software, or Trimble Link™, or the GPS Analyst™ extension for ESRI ArcGIS software.

Instructions

  • To install/upgrade the Data Transfer software, from the download page, select a language and then click "Install Now".

  • To install/upgrade the Data Transfer software, you require Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 4.0 or later) or Netscape Navigator version 4.0.

  • Make sure that you upgrade the software in the same language as that of your previously installed software.

  • It is recommended that you restart your computer after installing the Data Transfer software.

You must be an administrator in order to install the Data Transfer software.
