WinFlash Utility for v3.72 GPS Firmware
(WFC-ProXRT-v372.exe - 6779 KB)
This download includes the v3.72 firmware and the Winflash software. The Winflash software is used to install the firmware and activate receiver options (including the GLONASS option) on the GPS Pathfinder ProXRT. To install the new firmware version, see the Release Notes for instructions.
The following changes were made in the 3.72 firmware version:
- Resolved OmniSTAR issues, including OmniSTAR tracking problem at 600bps and adjacent channel 5KHz away.
- Applied OmniSTAR AOREH Frequency change.
- Fixed CMR type 4 support with PRN 32.
- Fixed issue with PDOP calculation under difficult environment (canopy). Positions with bad PDOP will not be used.
- Fixed causes for rare crashes of receiver firmware with specific configurations.
Entitlement
- The new 3.72 firmware version is free of charge to all existing ProXRT customers. Trimble recommends that all customers with entitlement to the field software versions listed below should upgrade their receivers to the new firmware.
WARNING: If you upgrade to this version of firmware you will be required to use:
- Trimble TerraSync software version 4.00 or later
- Trimble GPScorrect extension for ESRI ArcPad software version 3.00 or later
- Trimble GPS Controller software version 2.22 or later
- Third-party software based on the Trimble GPS Pathfinder Tools SDK version 2.33.
Failing this, you will not be able to connect to this GPS receiver. Once this firmware has been uploaded onto your device you will not be able to revert to a previous version.
WinFlash Utility for v3.60 GPS Firmware
(WFS-ProXRT-v360.exe - 6061 KB)
This download includes the v3.60 firmware and the Winflash software. The Winflash software is used to install the firmware and activate receiver options (including the GLONASS option) on the GPS Pathfinder ProXRT. For instructions on using the Winflash software see the GPS Pathfinder ProXRT receiver User Guide.
SBAS.INI
(SBAS.ini - KB)
Updated: 1 August 2007
- Contains the list of SBAS satellites, including the two recently launched WAAS satellites - PRNs 135 and 138.
- Required when using Custom mode in Trimble field software to select particular satellites to track, and exclude from the tracking list.
- Details on the new WAAS satellites and how to install the SBAS.INI file are included in the Support Note titled Status Update: New WAAS Satellites and Trimble GPS Receivers.
SATDGPS.INI File
(Satdgps.ini - 2 KB)
Updated: 21 April 2009
- Contains the list of frequencies used by satellite DGPS providers.
- Updated for changes to the satellite frequency for use in New Zealand.
- If you have TerraSync, GPS Controller, GPScorrect, or an application developed using the GPS Pathfinder Tools SDK installed on a PC, copy this file into the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Trimble\Config.
- If you have TerraSync, GPS Controller, GPScorrect, or an application developed using the GPS Pathfinder Tools SDK installed on a Windows CE or Windows Mobile for Pocket PCs operating system, copy this file into the folder \Program Files\Common Files\Trimble\Config. This folder will be located on the Disk or in RAM depending on where the software is installed
- If you have GPS Analyst v2.00 or later, copy this file into the folder C:\Program Files\Trimble\GPS Analyst\Bin.
- If you have GPS Analyst v1.20 or earlier, copy this file into the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Trimble\Config.

Support Notes Mapping and GIS Product Compatibility List
(MGIS_SprtNote_Product_Compatibility.pdf - 315 KB)
This document outlines the compatibility between Trimble field devices, versions of Trimble field software, versions of the GPS Pathfinder Office software and Microsoft Windows operating systems. OmniSTAR PORH (New Zealand) Satellite: Change in Frequency
(MGIS_SprtNote_Omnistar_PORH_New_Zealand.pdf - 173 KB)
OmniSTAR has changed the Pacific region OmniSTAR service for New Zealand to a new frequency of 1535.0225 MHz, named PORH. This change is necessary immediately for users who are presently operating on the OC-Sat frequency. If you use a Trimble receiver in New Zealand that is able to track OmniSTAR satellites, you must update the data collection software to track the new frequency. OmniSTAR Satellite Frequencies: Europe, Africa, Middle East, and India
(MGIS_SprtNote_Omnistar-EMEA_and_I_6784.pdf - 46 KB)
The following recent and ongoing changes by OmniSTAR apply to satellite frequencies for use in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and India. This Support Note provides updated information on the recommended satellites to use. OmniSTAR MSV North America (Eastern, Central, and Western USA) Satellite: New Frequencies
(MGIS_SprtNote_OmniStar_MSV.pdf - 187 KB)
OmniSTAR is changing the frequency for the North American satellite, MSV (Western, Central, and Eastern USA), on which it broadcasts corrections. If you use a Trimble receiver in North America that is able to track OmniSTAR satellites, you must update the data collection software to track the new frequencies. OmniSTAR is currently broadcasting corrections on both old and new frequencies. This dual-broadcast will continue through until 20 June 2008 for Eastern and Western, and until 20 August 2008 for Central. Users may change the frequencies they track at any time before that date, but Trimble advises that you do it as soon as possible. GPS Pathfinder ProXRT Receiver: Unable to Connect to Receiver Using Cabled Connection
(MGIS_SprtNote_ProXRT_BaudRate.pdf - 108 KB)
The serial port baud rate for the Trimble GPS Pathfinder ProXRT receiver may change without warning, preventing applications from connecting to the receiver using a cabled connection. This document describes how to configure the serial port baud rate using the front panel of the receiver. GPS Pathfinder ProXRT Receiver: Resetting
(MGIS_SprtNote_ProXRT_Resetting.pdf - 113 KB)
This document describes the various reset options on the Trimble GPS Pathfinder ProXRT receiver and how to perform each type of reset. GPS Pathfinder ProXRT Receiver: Bluetooth Connection
