Version 3.21 of TerraSync

• New Features

  • Support for the GeoExplorer 2008 series of handhelds.

  • If a Bluetooth telephone connection to the Internet is lost, the TerraSync software now automatically attempts to reconnect.

  • When using real-time corrections, the TerraSync software reports if code or carrier phase corrections are being applied, rather than just reporting that GPS positions are being calculated.

  • The Magnetic Declination Calculation has been updated.

  • Refer to the version 3.21 Release Notes for a detailed listing of the new features in version 3.21, and installation instructions.

  • TerraSync v3.21 no longer supports Win CE .Net platforms

• Entitlement

  • Customers whose TerraSync software maintenance expiry date is on or after 15 May 2008 are eligible for a free upgrade to the new version. Use your existing installation code to upgrade to v3.21. Customers are eligible:

    • If you purchased TerraSync Professional edition on or after 15 May 2007.

    • If you purchased TerraSync Standard edition with 9-month software warranty extension on or after 15 May 2007

    • If you purchased TerraSync Standard edition with 90-day warranty on or after 15 February 2008

    • If you have a Software Maintenance Extension valid on 15 May 2008

  • If you do not have a Software Maintenance Extension valid on 15 May 2008, contact your local Tri-Global representative for details on upgrading to v3.21

• Requirements

• Requirements

  • TerraSync v3.05 requires the GPS Pathfinder Office software v4.00 and the Nomad Receiver Support Update (PFO400Update006 to support the Nomad receiver). Earlier versions of the GPS Pathfinder Office software will not allow you to download data collected in the TerraSync software version 3.05.

Installation Instructions

Before downloading the software, we recommend that you check out the Release Notes, recommended configuration, and tested devices.

• Download the software onto your desktop computer.

• Connect your Windows CE device to your computer via ActiveSync.

• Register your copy of the software at www.trimble.com/register to obtain an installation serial number.

• Run the installation program according to the instructions in the Release Notes.

• When prompted, enter the installation serial number.

• If you experience any difficulties upgrading please contact your local Tri-Global representative.

TerraSync Updater Utility (English)
(TerraSync250UpdaterSetup.exe - 9455 KB)
It is recommended that you download and install the TerraSync Updater Utility. This utility allows you to update your v2.5x software with any new updates. The Updater Utility should be run periodically when you are connected to your device running TerraSync and when your PC is connected to the internet. The utility will inform you when new updates are available and assist you to update your TerraSync software

Version 2.41

• New Features

• Entitlement

  • Your v2.40 authorization code can be used to install v2.41.

  • If you purchased v2.3x after June 24th 2003 you are entitled to v2.41. You will require a new authorisation code. Please contact your Tri-Global Representative who will arrange for a new authorization code to be issued. This new code should be used when installing the software.

  • If you have a Field Software Enhancement Extension valid on September 16th 2003 you are entitled to v2.41. Your support code should be used when installing the software.

  • If you do not have a Field Software Enhancement Extension valid on September 16th 2003, contact your Tri-Global Representative for details on upgrading to v2.41.

Version 2.31

From here you can download v2.31 of the TerraSync software. This version of TerraSync is only required for installation to the Trimble Recon device.

  • Your v2.30 authorization code can be used to install v2.31.

Asian Font Files for v1.22

Asian font installation files are available for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
Note: Not supported on Juniper Allegro.

• Asian font file installations for all device types.

• Works with TerraSync software version 1.21 and later.

• Free install for all TerraSync users.

• Note: You do not need to install a font if your CE device already has the appropriate language version of the operating system (i.e. Japanese Windows CE).

Installation Instructions

• You must first install the TerraSync version 1.22 software update and appropriate TerraSync language files before installing fonts.

• Download the font file package onto your desktop computer.

• Connect your Pocket PC or Windows CE device to your computer via ActiveSync.
